TODO for the Linux Port Version 1.73 from 30.04.2004

Oh, there is a lot to do. If anyone has any ideas for the problems here
write me at dw@danielwinter.de

- Fast Forward and Rewind were not send to xmms, because i could not find
a way in the xmms API to do so. (solved since v1.7 :-))

- Support the new STEN command which should stop the player at the end of
the current song. At the moment the linux server only receives the command
but only stops bemused directly not at the end of the next song. (has somebody an
idea to do that?) (solved since v1.73 :-))

- Sometimes not often used characters in filenames or directory names confuses
the client on the phone. But you can still use these in most cases.

- Make it possible to start the server as a deamon in the background and
wirte the output in a logfile. (You can at the moment only do this with
  nohup bemusedlinuxserver &.) (solved since v1.73 :-))

- Bring up a real error message if directorys for files are configured
to which the user has not the right to read from.

- make it poosible to store the configfile in the users home dir to have
multiple users differnt settings and mp3dirs.

- Make real english out of these textes. My english is not so good.

TODO for the hole Bemused-Project

OK, this are just my own ideas. The development on the client on the phone
and the Windows Server is done by Alex Ibrado so he must do this work first.

- Display the bitrate and stereo or mono Infos of a played song on the phone.
  (done since version 1.5)

- Display the actual playlist on the phone display.
  (done since version 1.5)

- Do a wave stream to the phone of an mp3 to here it directly on the phone.
(not really important and eventually impossible, but a funny thought ;-))
(the german computer magazin c't has a project called bluemp3 which
is a hardware mp3-playback-device with bluetooth, i will try to make
  it work together with bemused)

- Removing of single songs from the playlist (no problem to include in the
Server, but the Clients must support it)

- Eventually make it possible to build own plugins without programming.

- Control of xmms or mplayer

OK, write me (dw@danielwinter.de) and Alex (bluetooth@ibrado.com)
for any ideas or questions or go to http://bemused.soureforge.net and
post in the forum.

Regards

 Daniel Winter
