It is intended for folks wanting to instigate issues in depth, or adapt this installer to Slackware or other derivatives. _ 'auto' provides the guided mode of installation _ 'setup' manages the legacy 'manual' mode of installation. It has been updated mainly use only GRUB as boot manager in all contexts. _ the initialization script 'rc.S' is not modified but is included to put 'auto' and 'setup' in context as they are run after rc.S. Tentatively two directories are copied in /tmp in the installed system to help investigate possible issues: /tmp/INSTALLER gathers all files written by 'auto' in $INSTALL (the directory INSTALL in the initrd) /tmp/PKGLISTS contains the installation logs also written by 'auto' 2.
