The MATE Control Centre provides a central place for the user to setup their MATE experience. It can let you configure anything from the behaviour of your window borders to the default font type. The MATE Control Centre provides a single window from which to launch all preference tools. For help on using preference tools, see the User Guide. You can start MATE Control Centre in the following ways: System menu Choose Control Centre menu item. Command line Execute the following command: mate-control-center The MATE Control Centre window lists all preference tools installed on your system in groups. From the left pane, you can quickly access a preference tool by selecting its group first or typing any keyword in the filter box. You can also access common tasks, such as Change Theme, and Set Preferred Applications. To open a preference tool, just click on it. The preference tool description is shown on mouse hover.
