script.qm - Post-process files created by script

script.qm attempts to clean up script files by removing escape sequences
and backspaces.
It also facilitates manual cleanup of lines that are too scrambled for it to
make sense of.

script.qm is particularly geared towards files that are produced by running a
gdb session under script.
These files contain a lot of escape sequences generated by gdb even if you turn
off colouring.
These escape sequences make the file rather hard to read with the `less` utility
(they're fine with `less -r` but then line numbering doesn't work well, -S and
horizontal scrolling aren't available, and long lines cause page overflow).

I find that the macro suite works best when used in conjunction with a version
control system (VCS).
The examples in this README use RCS.
I only know RCS & git, and I think you really want to use a per-file VCS.

These are the macros mrovided:-
n204: (^N^W^D) Strip all carriage returns
      Strip trailing spaces
strip colour and other escape sequences
strip command prompts (that set xterm title)
n205: (N(W^E) Reduce all hex numbers to "0x0"
n2: Convert ISO dates & times to all zeroes except century if present
n3: Convert literal octal char to escaped one
n4: Remove time from bash prompts
n5: tack current line or line number on command line onto the previous one
n : (n040) present remaining lines with Bs or Ec for manual cleaning
