Mount in a specified folder feature:
- instead of mounting in $home/virtual-drives/n, it will ask you where to mount.
note: you can't mount in a root folder. for example to mount in "/mnt" you must start AcetoneISO2 as root user.
MD5 feature:
- select an image, it will output in a dialog the md5 of the file. you can also save it to a text file using "generate to file" button.
Split feature:
- usefull to split an image in multiple binary parts
- select the image, it will ask you where(the folder) to save the splitted files.
- it will ask you the split number in megabytes
note: while merging, please keep pressed "ctrl" key to select multiple files in the dialog.
Encrypt feature:
- select the image to encrypt.
- it will ask you a passphrase. insert a long one for making decryption harder.
- the file encrypted will be saved to your home folder
Compress feature:
- select the image to be compressed.
- the compression format is 7z.
- it will ask you to choose between normal or ultra compression.
note: compressing is time and cpu consuming. choosing ultra compression will require a lot of time.
Generate CUE for BIN/IMG images feature:
- select the BIN or IMG.
- it will generate a CUE file sheet
- the CUE will be saved inside the folder that holds the image selected.
Extract a RAR password protected feature:
- be sure to have installed unrar (the non-free version in /usr/bin/)
- select *.rar file and choose where to extract it
- a dialog will prompt you for inserting the password
