WARNING: this doculent, as well as tolbox_slint_dot_sh, is obsolete

This toolbox, 'toolbox_slint_dot_sh', is intended to help localize script
slint.sh. It can be used by translators and reviewers to check their
translations of slint.sh's messages.

All PO files should be named like this:
  <ll_TT>.slint.po
<ll_TT> being the locale in concern. So files downloaded from Transifex
should be renamed that way.

To check your translation of slint.sh, just do this:
1. Put or download your PO file in slint-[date]/wip and rename it like this:
   <ll_TT>.slint.po
2. use 'check_PO'
3. use 'format_PO'
4. do this:
   cd slint-[date]
   LANG=<ll_TT> ./slint.sh

Now here are the details.

init_PO: initialize a PO file for a given locale
================================================

This feature is to be used by translators whenever a new localization of
slint.sh is initiated, unless Transifex be used for that purpose.

The new PO file will be located in slint-[date]/wip

check_PO: check that all messages are translated in a PO file
=============================================================

The PO file to check should be stored in slint-[date]/wip

If all messages are translated, the PO file will be moved to:
  slint-[data]/slint-locales/<locale dir>/LC_MESSAGES
<locale dir> being a directory set by script
slint-[data]/data/locales/SeTlocales according to the locale and created if
need be.

Though this check can also be done by Transifex, it comes handy to put the
checked PO file in its place.

format_PO: generate a MO file for a given locale
================================================

Before using this function, it is expected that check_PO has been used.

THe MO file (always named slint.mo) will be put in
slint-[data]/slint-locales/<locale dir>/LC_MESSAGES
alongside the PO file.

This allows to localize the messages output of slint.sh and thus can be used
by translators to test their translation of slint.sh

To do that, after using this function, just type:
  cd slint-[date]
  LANG=<ll_TT> ./slint.sh
Of course <ll_TT> is the locale to be tested.

merge_PO: update a PO file following an update of the POT file
==============================================================

Updated PO file will be stored in slint-[date]/wip and can then be
edited with 'lokalize' or 'poedit'.

This can also be done using Transifex.

After edition is completed, 'check_PO' then 'format_PO' will be used again.

Other functions
===============

Other functions included in yoolbox_slint_dot_sh do not have matching 
entries in its menu because they are not intended for translators:
  'Format_PO' produces a POT file if it doen't exist yet and is called
by other functions if need be
  'check_xtract' checks that all messages marked with 'gettext' in slint.sh
are included in the POT file. This function is only useful for the mantainer.
